Luis’s professional journey began at Motorola, Inc., where he served as an HR Business Partner and Manager. At Motorola, Luis helped align HR strategies with business objectives, contributing to the company's overall success. From there, he moved to Kellogg Company, where he worked as Senior HR Business Partner and Senior Employee Relations Consultant. At Kellogg, Luis managed HR operations across the company's global workforce, ensuring that HR practices supported business growth and employee development.

In 2005, Luis joined Grainger Industrial Supply as Senior HR Manager, overseeing HR for 13 distribution centers across the U.S. and Mexico. He was pivotal in improving employee engagement, optimizing performance, and implementing lean methodologies to drive operational efficiency. Luis also transitioned the company to a “pay for performance” culture, significantly enhancing employee motivation and contributing to Grainger’s operational success.

Luis’s next major career milestone was at Navistar, a global manufacturer of trucks and defense vehicles, where he led HR for the Components Division. At Navistar, Luis was selected to oversee a joint venture with Janghui Automotive Corporation in China. He spent six months in China, developing HR strategies for the new venture, managing expatriate infrastructure, and overseeing HR due diligence for multiple acquisitions. This international assignment deepened Luis’s expertise in global HR operations and enhanced his ability to lead cross-cultural teams.

In 2015, Luis joined Brunswick, a leading marine industry manufacturer, as HR Director. He managed HR for a division with $750 million in revenue, overseeing six locations across the U.S. and Canada. Under his leadership, employee engagement improved, turnover decreased, and productivity increased. Luis’s efforts also helped Brunswick achieve the “Employer of Choice” designation at three locations, reflecting its commitment to fostering a positive work culture.

Luis continued his career at Wheels, Inc., a fleet management company, as HR Manager and Strategic HR Business Partner. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Luis played an instrumental role in ensuring business continuity by transitioning employees to remote work and implementing safety protocols to protect the workforce. He also led diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring the company had an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees.
